“IL VICO DEL POETA” APARTMENTS FOR VACATIONS AND BRIEF STAYS
The “Vico del Poeta” offers two totally independent and private mini-apartments in the historic centre of Assisi. The structure is located in a charming and quiet area of the city, a few meters from the Rocca Maggiore and the Cathedral of Saint Rufino, and less than a 15 minute walk from the Basilica of Saint Francis.
Strategic and comforting the apartments can be rented for single nights or for longer periods and being part of the house where Danish poet Giovanni Jorgensen lived, since the origin meeting place between artists and poets, they have inherited that charm. Run by Stefano, a painter, and Chiara, his wife, the studios maintain the true characteristics of a typical Assisi house: exposed ceiling beams in a space where arcs, niches, capitals recall to the medioevo, all equipped by small details of design, art and craftsmanship.
The keys are delivered during the check-in and there are no passages in common from which you must enter (except during the breakfast, if you will decide to have it in our home instead in your apartment): you are free to manage your schedules. Being equipped with heating, complete kitchen, bathroom, television and other comforts the apartments are the ideal both for couples seeking relaxation and a touch of romanticism and for families with children who want to feel at home, to visit Assisi but also to move yourselves to the other cities of Umbria (Perugia is 20 minutes away by car, 35 minutes to Spoleto, Spello is 10 minutes away, Gubbio is a 45 minute drive away).
Shops, restaurants, tourist information offices, post offices, bus stops are easy to reach on foot and are all very close to our location. A 20 minute bus ride will take you to the local train station, and with Assisi being in the centre of Umbria, our apartments are the ideal base for all kind of visit. The area offers a wide range of natural and unique artistic attractions: coexisting within a few miles of each other are nature trails (hiking excursions in the park of Mount Subasio), wine and culinary itineraries, and some of the most beautiful cities in Italy as well as world renowned events (the “Festival Dei Due Mondi” in Spoleto, Umbria Jazz, just to name a couple). Assisi is easy to reach, either by car or by train, and for those who prefer air travel, there are domestic and international flights to the airport of “Sant’Egidio” (a 15 minute drive from our city).

The overnight rates range for a couple is from 25 to 30 euros per person per night.
The overnight rates range for the single use is from 45 to 55 euros per night.
During the weekends and the festivities is usually asked a minimum stay of two nights.
Children’s stay (from 0 to 6 years): free.
Children’s stay (from 6 to 12 years): 8 euros.
Extra single bed: 15 euros.
