The large terrace is available to guests for eating, relaxing, reading, enjoying views of the medieval town, the lovely square in front of the town hall (once summer residence of the nobles family della Corgna) and the valley.

The village of Corciano, which is surrounded by an almost intact ring wall, was awarded the distinction of being "one of Italy's most beautiful medieval villages." Here one can become part of the typical Umbrian small towns way of life enjoying the morning coffee or cappuccino at the bar on the main square or an ice cream during an evening stroll.

Corciano is an excellent base for exploring Umbria, with the real Green Heart scenes of Italy just minutes away, whilst the amazing hilltop cities of Assisi, Spello, Deruta, Todi and many others are within about thirty minutes drive. And within easy driving for half to one day's visit to Siena, Cortona, Arezzo, Montepulciano, Florence, Spoleto and Rome. There are two 18-hole golf courses in the area, Golf di Perugia at Santa Sabina a 10 minute, and Golf Antognolla a 20 minute drive from Locanda San Michele.
