IL TEMPO RITROVATO is an ancient stone-built farmhouse situated on the slopes of the small village of Cengio Alto in an old Borgo immersed in the hinterland of Liguria amongst the green hills of Valbormida

The farmhouse has been recently restored both internally and externally with great care so that the niches and exposed beams create a special atmosphere.

The stone-walled farmhouse is simple and natural with fresh and bright colours. It is the perfect place for those who love a quiet environment. Suitable for families, groups of friends or for business people working in the area.

All the accommodation is linked to Proust’s ‘In the Shadow of Young Girls in Flower’ in which young girls are viewed as the petals of a bouquet and therefore each room is distinguished by three colours with different names to provide three emotions.

Guests can have access to the kitchen containing a fireplace, to the small dining room and to a reading room for general activities.

The accommodation is surrounded by green fields with a terrace giving panoramic views of the Langhe valley. In the garden there is a pergola shaded by large fig-tree, a magnificent willow tree to sit under and read, have breakfast and relax and last of all a wood stove for cooking and eating outside.

The Mediterreanean sea is only 25 minutes from IL TEMPO RITROVATO while the Langhe hills and valleys are only 5 minutes away. And of course the region of Piemont is close by with its excellent wines and truffles
